We had our first big snow. I ended up with about 8 inches on my lawn. Much more to come. I had to get some pictures of my pigeon loft for someone. While I was out I got a couple of pictures of my favorite bird. I really like the first one against the cloudy [...]

I missed a few days due to the vacation. He’s still growing. Specifically his wings grew a lot during the past few days. Looks like he is already testing them out a bit. I also ended up with 7 other squabs that are just one week behind this guy. Should make for a fine crew [...]

The as yet unnamed baby pigeon keep growing every day. Getting uglier too. There’s a reason you don’t see pigeon babies. They have to hide their ugliness. I am really amazed at how fast they grow. Here’s some more pictures. This one gives you a view of the band I place on his leg a [...]

I came home to a nice surprise. One of the eggs I have been watching has hatched. I’ll get a picture or two every day or so and we’ll track their growth. Hopefully there will be one other squab by tomorrow.

I have noticed this pigeon loft several times. It is near my work and I pass by it on lunch breaks. Sometimes there are pigeons sitting on top of it. Wish I had a better view of his setup. Today I decided to snap a picture with my cell phone cam. You can see it [...]
